Inspiration:
In English, I have been studying Shakespeare's "Hamlet." A theme that kept reacurring in the play was often death related. That contributed to most the inspiration I had to do this piece. I twisted it up a bit and came up with the idea.
About:
The piece is about how we [humans] are fooling ourselves as in how we look and how we act; it's almost cliche with "Make up" ("God has given you one face, and you make yourselves another" - Hamlet). The skull, blended not so realistically, but symbolically, represents that no matter what we would like to look like, we will all look the same 6 ft under. No amount of media showcasing how we should look can change that fact.
The model, flower, and skull are from sxc.hu
